Today (Aug. 8th) is B.J.'s aka Barry Baynard 31th birthday, my oldest son. I can't believe how fast the years have gone by and yet they seem to go by even faster now that I'm older. I'm not laughing. It took 9 grueling days and night to take out these 575 braids of locs in my hair and I still feel the pain in my scapula, but was worth it in the end though. And I have my curls and length somewhat. As some of you may know I decided in June of "09" to take down my Sisterloc (SL). It was a very personal decision for me and all I can say is that I had a love and hate affair with them. Well, it'll be a month August 16th and I will have my first retightening then. I'm still trying to get use to all of this. I can't seem to do anything with my hair, it's too curly. I will be taking the big step July 14-15 2008. I am so excited and scared at the same time. I am excited because I will no longer feel like I am a prison of my own hair and scared because of how this look will look on me.
